A reminder to our American friends that when visiting, make sure you have proper identification (birth certificate, passport or voter's registration card). Note: A passport is now required for entry into U.S.A. by air. When you arrive you will be greeted by one of our on-duty Customs Officers. If you arrive by boat or private aircraft, check in with Canada Customs by calling 1-888-CANPASS. U.S. residents entering the United States who have been away for more than 48 hours may bring back $400 U.S. worth of goods, duty free, and one litre of alcohol and one litre of tobacco. For U.S. residents returning after an absence of less than 48 hours, the allowance is $200 U.S. worth of goods per person, and no alcohol or tobacco.
